Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:

Let's Dive Into Mark 1:21-28!

READ: Let's read the story for today!

Let's Dive Into Mark 1:21-28!

ASK: Let's talk about it together!

Why do you think the people were so amazed by the way Jesus taught, even before the healing happened?
The impure spirit recognized Jesus immediately. What do you think that tells us about who Jesus really is?
Jesus spoke with just a few words and the spirit had to obey Him right away — what does that show us about His power and authority?
Have you ever seen or experienced something that made you feel amazed by God's power?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!

Go outside and play a quick "Authority Says" game (like Simon Says), where the leader gives simple commands — "jump," "sit," "spin around" — and everyone has to obey immediately, just like the impure spirit had to obey Jesus's words. Afterward, talk about how it felt to follow commands right away, and how Jesus's words carry real authority and power over everything, even things we can't see. Finish by looking up at the sky or around your yard and naming things that show God's power and authority over creation.

Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.

Dear God, thank You for Jesus's power and authority over everything — help us trust Him fully and stand amazed at who He is. Amen.
