Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:
Let's Dive Into Matthew 21:23-32!

READ: Let's read the story for today!
Let's Dive Into Matthew 21:23-32!

ASK: Let's talk about it together!
Why do you think the religious leaders were afraid to answer Jesus's question about John the Baptist honestly?
Between the two sons in the parable, which one do you think truly obeyed his father, and why?
Can you think of a time when you said you'd do something but didn't, or said you wouldn't but changed your mind and did it anyway?
Why do you think Jesus cared more about actions than words in this story?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!
Go outside and assign each family member a simple task, like watering a plant, picking up sticks in the yard, or sweeping off the porch. Before starting, have everyone say out loud whether they will or won't do their task — then see who actually follows through, regardless of what they said. Afterward, sit outside together and talk about how actions can surprise us, and how being reliable in what we do speaks louder than promises.
Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.
Dear God, help our actions match our words, and give us hearts that are quick to obey You even when it's hard. Amen.
