ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!

Host a mini "Backyard Banquet" — set up a simple picnic or snack table outside, then take turns "inviting" each other with a knock at the door or a tap on the shoulder, welcoming each person in with enthusiasm as if throwing open the gates to a celebration. As you eat together, talk about what it means to be invited somewhere special and how it feels different depending on whether you accept or ignore the invitation. Consider making an extra plate or treat bag to share with a neighbor as a way of extending the invitation further, like the king did.
