Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:
Let's read Matthew 22:34-46 together!

READ: Let's read the story for today!
Let's read Matthew 22:34-46 together!

ASK: Let's talk about it together!
What stuck out to you?
What seemed important?
Could you imagine having to follow 600 different laws like the Pharisees?
(Older Youth:) Do you think the other laws that they might follow fit into the two greatest commandments?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!
Go outside and take a "Heart, Soul, and Mind" nature walk, where each family member finds one object that represents loving God with their heart (something beautiful, like a flower), one for their soul (something peaceful, like the sky or a quiet spot), and one for their mind (something that makes you think, like a pinecone's design or an ant hill). Gather back together and share what you each found and why you chose it. Finish by taking turns naming one neighbor, friend, or classmate you want to intentionally love better this week.
Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.
Dear God,
We love you! Help us to reflect your love to everyone we meet each day, and help us to know you better.
Amen!
