Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:

Let's Dive Into Matthew 23:1-12!

READ: Let's read the story for today!

Let's Dive Into Matthew 23:1-12!

ASK: Let's talk about it together!

Why do you think the religious leaders cared so much about being seen and praised by others?
What's the difference between doing something good because you want to help versus doing it to be noticed?
Jesus says "the greatest among you will be your servant" — what do you think that means, and who is someone you know who lives that out?
Can you think of a time you did something kind without anyone else knowing about it? How did that feel compared to being praised for something?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!

Head outside for a "Secret Service" mission — as a family, find one small act of kindness you can do for a neighbor without them knowing it was you, like picking up litter on their lawn, leaving a kind note, or watering their plants. Do it quietly and quickly together, then talk afterward about how it felt to serve without getting any credit or attention. Wrap up by taking turns naming one way each person can be a "servant" at home this week.

Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.

Dear God, help us serve others with humble hearts, not for praise or attention, but simply because we love You and love people. Amen.
