Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:

Let's Dive Into Matthew 25:14-30!

READ: Let's read the story for today!

Let's Dive Into Matthew 25:14-30!

ASK: Let's talk about it together!

Why do you think the servant with one talent chose to bury it instead of trying to do something with it?
What talents, gifts, or abilities do you think God has given you, and how are you using them?
How did the master respond differently to the servants who took a risk versus the one who played it safe out of fear?
Why do you think fear can sometimes keep us from using the gifts God has given us?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!

Go outside and play a quick "Talent Toss" game. Give each family member a small ball, beanbag, or rock representing their "talent," and set up a simple target or goal to try to hit from a distance. Take turns trying, and afterward talk about how it felt to take a risk and try, even if you didn't succeed every time, versus not trying at all. Wrap up by having each person name one gift or ability they have and one small way they could "put it to work" this week.

Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.

Dear God, thank You for the gifts You've given each of us — help us use them boldly and faithfully, without letting fear hold us back. Amen.
