Let's get the conversation going! Here are a couple of "Would You Rather" questions:

Let's read Matthew 5:1-12.

READ: Let's read the story for today!

Let's read Matthew 5:1-12.

ASK: Let's talk about it together!

When/How have you been blessed?
What does it mean to be blessed?
How do we bless others?
How does our current culture describe being blessed?

ACTIVITY: Let's jump into this Outdoor (or, Indoor) Challenge!

Set up a "Beatitudes Rock Garden" outside — gather 8-9 small rocks or stones, and have each family member decorate one (with chalk or a marker) representing a different Beatitude, like a heart for "pure in heart" or a dove for "peacemakers." Arrange the rocks together in a small garden bed, along a fence, or by your front door as a lasting reminder of Jesus's teaching. As you decorate, talk about which blessing feels the most challenging to live out and why.

Let's close in prayer! Use this one, or say your own together.

Dear God,
You send us out to bring peace. We wonder if we are enough. Guide our hearts and minds to understand we are enough and we don’t have to be afraid. Remind us of your love and teach us to trust you, one another and ourselves. Wherever we go, whatever we do, and whoever we are with, you are there.
Amen!
